MyBatumi is a city guide and local marketplace application for Batumi and other cities in Georgia. The app helps users find local places, businesses, services, guides, events, offers, useful contacts, community questions, answers, and classifieds.

2. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the MyBatumi mobile application, web application, PWA, related websites, support forms, business listing forms, and other services operated under the MyBatumi name.
By using MyBatumi, you acknowledge that we process personal data as described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app.
3. Data we may collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect and process the following categories of data:
Account data:
- name or display name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- profile photo, if provided;
- authentication provider and technical account identifier;
- account status, role, language, city, and settings.
User content:
- reviews, ratings, photos, questions, answers, comments, complaints, classifieds, and other materials you submit;
- business listing information submitted by business owners or representatives;
- support messages and attachments.
Business and partner data:
- business name, description, category, address, contacts, social media links, photos, price information, working hours, promotions, and other listing details;
- documents or information used to verify business ownership or authenticity, where applicable;
- commercial plan, placement status, statistics, and lead information.
Usage and analytics data:
- app openings, screen views, searches, category clicks, business card views, route clicks, phone clicks, Telegram/WhatsApp/Instagram/website clicks, favorite actions, guide views, offer views, promo code views, and similar events;
- device type, operating system, app version, browser type, language, timezone, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data.
Location data:
- approximate location derived from device, browser, network, or IP address;
- precise location only if you grant permission to use location features such as nearby places, map, distance, or route-related functions;
- we do not intentionally track your precise location in the background unless a specific feature clearly requires it and you have granted permission.
Communication data:
- emails, support requests, complaints, moderation appeals, business inquiries, and other messages you send to us.
Payment and billing data:
- if business services, verification, sponsored placement, or other paid features are introduced or manually invoiced, we may process invoice details, payment status, plan type, amount, currency, and business contact details;
- we do not intend to store full bank card numbers in the app. Card payments, if introduced, should be processed by independent payment providers under their own terms and policies.
4. How we use data
We use data to:
- provide and operate the app;
- create and manage user accounts;
- display places, businesses, guides, events, offers, classifieds, questions, and answers;
- enable search, filters, favorites, maps, route actions, and contact actions;
- process reviews, questions, answers, complaints, and reports;
- moderate content and protect users from abuse, fraud, spam, illegal content, and unsafe activity;
- verify business listings and manage business cards;
- calculate basic statistics for businesses and improve ranking quality;
- provide customer support;
- send service notifications, moderation notices, and optional push notifications;
- improve app performance, reliability, safety, and user experience;
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
- protect our rights, users, businesses, and third parties.
5. Legal bases for processing

- performance of a contract, when processing is necessary to provide the app and requested services;
- consent, for optional features such as precise location, push notifications, or certain analytics where consent is required;

6. Public content
Some content is public by nature. For example, reviews, ratings, business listings, questions, answers, classifieds, photos, names of public businesses, and public comments may be visible to other users, search engines, app stores, business owners, moderators, and administrators.
Do not publish personal data, private addresses, confidential documents, or information about other people unless you have a lawful right to do so.
7. Sharing of data
We may share data with:
- service providers that help us operate hosting, databases, authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, maps, email, support, and payment features;
- app store operators, where required for app distribution, review, safety, analytics, or legal compliance;
- business owners, when you intentionally contact a business, submit a lead, use a promo code, request a service, post a review, or interact with a business listing;
- moderators and administrators who need access to review content, reports, support requests, and business submissions;
- legal, accounting, payment, and compliance providers;
- authorities, courts, or third parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or prevent abuse.
We do not sell users' personal data to advertisers.
8. Third-party services and external links
MyBatumi may contain links or buttons to third-party services such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, websites, maps, payment providers, app stores, and external business pages. When you open or use a third-party service, that service may process your data under its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Firebase and cloud services
MyBatumi may use Google Firebase and other cloud services for authentication, database, file storage, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, cloud functions, and notifications. Data may be processed on servers located outside your country. We use such providers to operate and secure the app.
10. Retention
We keep data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the app, maintaining security, resolving disputes, complying with law, and protecting rights.
Typical retention principles:
- account data is kept while the account exists;
- public content may remain visible until deleted, hidden, anonymized, or removed by moderation;
- business records, invoices, statistics, and moderation logs may be retained for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute purposes;
- backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion until overwritten or securely removed;
- support messages may be retained to resolve issues and maintain service records.
11. Account and data deletion
You may delete your account in the app if this feature is available for your account type. You may also request deletion by contacting popilinit@gmail.com.
After deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless retention is required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute, or legitimate business reasons. Public content may be removed or anonymized depending on the nature of the content and applicable obligations.

12. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

- request deletion;

MyBatumi is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including authentication, access controls, database rules, moderation workflows, and cloud security features. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

Your data may be processed in Georgia, the European Economic Area, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or lawful transfer mechanisms.
